The Supreme Fall/Winter Season Came & Went

Big news for hypebeasts, and streetwear enthusiasts alike this week, as Supreme, the most hyped streetwear brand to date, reopens their online shop. Thursday, August 17th, Supreme opened their doors for the new season, following tradition and leaving the first week as in-store only. However, on the following Thursday, August 24th, the same week one items dropped on the website, causing mass web traffic on the site from 10:55 to 11:10, leaving little stock for the people running late.

This week’s drop was definitely an iconic one, starting off the season right with a traditional photo tee, featuring a picture of none other than the illmatic rapper himself, Nas. Coming in a range of colors, the tee released on the website for $44, only a small percentage of its resale worth now. Listing online for give or take $200, the black Nas tee was not only the most coveted item for hypebeasts and Supreme heads, but for resellers as well. If you missed out on the tee during the 36 seconds it was in stock, I’m sure you will find plenty of listings on Ebay and Grailed, just don’t expect to pay anywhere close to retail for it.

Along with the Nas tee, Supreme released a full array of items, ranging from shirts and jackets, and even including accessories like the shovel or lighter. Whether you wanted a jacket to flex with for the upcoming school year, or simply some streetwear sweatpants to bum around in without sacrificing the fit, week one offered everything you needed it to. As a Supreme x Dr. Martens collaboration approaches in weeks to come, there is no doubt resale prices will continue to grow as more and more hyped items release. So take week one as a lesson, and set that 10:50 alarm on your phone now for Thursdays, you’re not going to want to miss out on this fall winter season.
