It’s no secret that streetwear brands are incredibly popular in the fashion industry right now. Brands like Supreme and BAPE are nearly household names and certain items in their clothing drops sell out within seconds. Yet, these aren’t the only streetwear brands out there making some incredibly unique clothing. Turning art into clothing Iridium Clothing Company is a brand that’s been around for seven years and is stationed out of Chicago, Illinois. They consistently deliver fresh, innovative, and just generally creative designs and they aren’t stopping anytime soon.
Iridium Clothing is the brainchild of designer Platinum, who’s committed to making a lifestyle brand using rare materials crafted into things from simple t-shirts to incredibly detailed and complex pieces that could even be considered art. At first Platinum worked as a Biochemist by day and a fashion designer by night for stars around the globe. He then brought his experiences from his humble beginnings into his brand, at first only making t-shirts, but soon moving onto bigger and bolder projects. Eventually, Platinum began to gain notoriety after R.A.W. Fashion formally recognized his incredible eye for design in 2011. This brought the brand to a whole new level. In collaboration with designer and musical artist Pugs Atomz, the brand began to gain more and more recognition, attracting artists such as Usher, Justin Bieber, Kid Ink, Gucci Mane, Chris Brown, and a whole lot more.
The brand mainly creates unisex clothing, although they do produce male and female specific garments as well. The brand creates products for wholesale, but also offer custom pieces. They are dedicated to a defined vision; to create the future of fashion while not losing sight of their roots - always holding onto their brands integrity and dedication to creating new, ground-breaking designs. At first only running pop-up stores, they currently have a permanent store in Chicago as well as a wide array of products available in their store online that is updated weekly. With their pure intentions and the brands incredible design ability, it seems as if growth is the only possible avenue for their future.
