A$AP Rocky, rapper, producer, actor, model, and designer-extraordinaire, has just released his second collaboration with clothing brand Guess. Coined the Clubhouse Collection, the line channels 80s and 90s trends; A$AP Rocky states that he “wants to bridge the gap between the youth and the past generations of Guess.”
The line features unisex and female pieces, with classic Guess designs and jewel tones ideal for Spring, including hats, denim, and T-shirts. Many pieces are labelled GUE$$, a nod at A$AP mob’s signature character. The collaboration appeared in Opening Ceremony and Black Market, as well as Chicago’s Notre, and sold out in hours.
Rocky celebrated the release of his new line on March 10th with a 3-story pop-up shop in Los Angeles. The building was decorated as a retro treehouse, inspired by the New York rapper’s youth: the playful environment channeled pastoral childhood vibes for the artist that grew up in the concrete jungle. While playful, the event had nuanced tributes to the late A$AP Yams. Rocky said Yams coined the ‘cozy’ aesthetic in the early days of the group; the theme is echoed in the collective’s latest mixtape Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends.
It’s been nearly two years since the May 26th release of At.Long.Last.A$AP, and fans are eager for new music. Thankfully, Rocky revealed in an interview with WWD that he has several projects in the works and is ecstatic to share new content with his fans. On January 27th, Rocky released a preview of ‘Please Don’t Touch My Raf’, a sneak-peak off the next installment of cozy tapes. The artist is currently travelling the world seeking inspiration and is planning to release the A$AP Mob project before his solo work.
